1890 French Industrial Lighthouse Clock
The automaton revolving lighthouse has an opposing clock face and barometer separated by two thermometers in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade. A separate movement in the base drives the lighthouse to revolve at will.
This Lighthouse clock was modeled after French Author Jules Verne's novel "The Light House At The End of The World”, written in 1905.
This exceptional clock is pictured on page 257 of “Mystery, Novelty & Fantasy Clocks by Derek Roberts published 1999.
