An Exceptional Fox and Rabbit Tobacco Jar.

Swiss “Black Forest” carved walnut double tobacco box modeled as a fox and hare strolling along with linked arms, dressed in formal attire.  Mr Fox is armed with both a sword and flintlock pistol Mrs Rabbit is holding a carrot and turnip.  This is an exceptionally rare Black Forest carving.  Similar but not identical to the carving pictured in “Swiss Carvings” The Art of The Black Forest - Michael and Simon Daniels, Page 61.
