A Rare Pair of finely carved walnut figures by Johann Huggler from Brienz, Switzerland, Circa 1900. Johann Huggler is the most well known and considered one of the finest carvers to ever live. He carved a variety of subjects around the turn of the 19th century. He was acknowledged for his carving abilities at many of the World’s Fairs. Including the Chicago World’s Fair 1893, Paris Exhibition of 1900 and St Louis World’s Fair 1904.
