Swiss Black Forest Carved Linden Wood Stag Coat Rack
This is a Swiss "Black Forest" carved linden wood stag coat rack. It is very large and very rare. The stag's head has carved linden wood antlers mounted upon a carved fence style plaque with vines. The overall size, detail and coloring makes this a very desirable carving. The rack has a beautiful symmetry, and the details throughout the entire piece showcase the wonderful technique inherent in "Black Forest" carvings.
