A Scale Model of a United States World War One Railway Gun Dated 1918. Baldwin Locomotive Works delivered five 14”/50 caliber railway guns on trains for the United States Navy during April and May of 1918. Each gun was mounted on a 72 foot 535,000 pound rail carriage with four 6 wheel bogies. Scratch built steel models such as this one are incredibly rare and took considerable time and skill.
