Life-size Swiss “Black Forest” Linden Wood Flying Eagle, circa 1900. Carved by Ruef in the form of a soaring Golden Eagle with glass eyes. Life-sized eagles are exceptionally rare especially with almost a 6 foot wingspan. An eagle by the same carver can be seen in “Swiss Carvings” The Art of the Black Forest page 90.
