This hard case Louis Vuitton trunk, circa 1940s, is a stunning piece of LV history that would make an exceptional coffee table. The interior of the trunk differs from others of its size, in that it features a rack with hangers stamped “Louis Vuitton” for small articles of clothing, and two removable boxes for storing accessories. This would have been carried by hand by its original owner, and probably contained one or two important and easily accessible outfits for a trip. Now it rests on a custom mahogany stand, a stunning LV coffee table that could store cashmere throws, seasonal decorations, or photography books.
