Swiss “Black Forest” Carved Walnut Figure of a Huntsman by Johann Huggler, circa 1900. Johann Huggler was the most skilled and awarded of all the Swiss Carvers. Here he carved a young huntsman bird hunting. The attention to detail of clothing and proportions of the sculpture are classic traits of Johann Huggler.
