It is well-traveled, as shown by the sticker that reads, “Hotel d’Italie Bauer Grünwald Venise.” This hotel, circa 1880, was the destination for the world’s rich and powerful at the turn of the 20th century. It still persists today as a five-star hotel in the heart of Venice, now known as The Bauers.
